Our Minister

Bro. John K. Glass is a native of Anniston, Alabama. He began his spiritual journey at a young age while growing up in the Baptist church; through thoughtful and constant study Bro. Glass developed an unquenchable thirst for the word of God. While seeking truth and a clearer understanding of God's will Bro. Glass met his now wife Zakeia who introduced him to the Church of Christ; to this union two daughters Marli and Willow were born. On New Years 's day 2010 Bro. Glass obeyed the gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ by being baptized for the remission of his sins at the 16th and Noble St Church of Christ in Anniston, Alabama by Bro. Nathaniel Maffett.

Bro. Glass blossomed under the leadership and tutelage of Bro. Marvin Jones and Bro. Maffet at 16th and Noble where he became the youth director. While working with the youth Bro. Glass developed a love for teaching and in August of 2013 preached his first gospel sermon; from that moment Bro. Glass began to be invited to speak at various congregations one of which being the Metro Church of Christ in Wetumpka, Alabama where Bro. Ricky Pierce is the minister. Through his time spent at Metro as well as through the encouragement of Bro. Pierce bro. Glass began to take his ministry even more seriously.

Bro. Glass furthered his studies of Gods word with the Georgia School of preaching and biblical studies as well as the Northwest Florida School of biblical studies. In 2020 Bro. Glass became the senior minister of The Sand Valley Church of Christ in Oneonta, Alabama where he works tirelessly to educate, encourage and inspire God's people. His passion for God's word and his compassion towards God's people is what truly drives Bro Glass'. He strives to preach and teach God's word in a simple and relatable fashion that even a child can understand with the hope that hearts might be pricked and souls might be saved.
